Framingham Massachusetts Real Estate

Framingham is the largest town in Massachusetts. Despite its large size, it continues to blend both the urban and rural lifestyle. In addition to a proud range of public services, Framingham has a well-respected school district and an accomplished teaching hospital. Framingham has been placed at 36th on CNN’s Money Magazine “Best Places to Live in the US.”

For those who want to test the waters before jumping in, you’ll appreciate the fact that there is a higher percentage of Framingham apartments for rent than any other town in the Boston area. There’s even a wide selection of Framingham homes that are designated “affordable housing,” making it easy to start living in this gorgeous area. The properties themselves are varied in style, but most are designed to accommodate families or those just starting out. For an upscale lifestyle, ask about the beautiful Victorian style homes that surround the shores of Learned and Gleason Ponds.

Nature lovers should make a stop in Callahan State Park. As a plot of land that started as farmland yet allowed woods to overtake it, this area is now perfect for horseback riders. In the summer, the trails are great for hiking, and winter provides excellent opportunities for cross-country skiing. Another opportunity to enjoy nature’s wonder is at the New England Wild Flower Society Garden in the Woods. The area is a full 45-acres of New England plants, complete even with endangered species.

Tired of the same old stagnate museums? The Danforth Museum of Art was built by the town of Framingham in 1975 and has grown into a cultural icon of the area. The featured artists change periodically, and the museum strives to bring art education and appreciation to the entire town.

The mix of cultural and natural wonders may be what drives so many families to relocate to this gorgeous community. More than half of the residents are married, and this seems like the perfect place to start a family. The public school system is well-respected, helping each child grow to his or her full potential.

Like much of the rest of the country, the Framingham real estate market is improving steadily. Home values are increasing, and sellers are more readily putting their homes on the market. If you’re looking to live in a quaint, close-knit community, Framingham is the perfect location for you.
